Welcome to The SavageElf Journal!

* A Little Handmade, A Little Homegrown, and a Whole Lot of Creativity!*

Hello and welcome to The SavageElf Journal!

I'm so glad you found your way here!

If you've ever looked at a handful of kitchen scraps and thought, "I bet I could make something with that," or found yourself growing one little herb plant that somehow turned into an entire gardening adventure, then I think we're going to get along just fine!

SavageElf Creations is more than just a collection of handmade products. It's a little bit of everything I love: creating, experimenting, growing, preserving, and finding beauty and purpose in everyday things.

And now, I have a place to share the stories behind it all.

From My Kitchen to Yours

There's almost always something happening in my kitchen.

Some days it's a bubbling pot of homemade jelly. Other days I'm experimenting with herb-infused salts, drying fresh ingredients, or dreaming up a new flavor combination.

I love traditional kitchen skills, especially those that help us waste less and make more from what we already have.

Not every experiment turns out exactly as planned. Sometimes the jelly has a mind of its own, and sometimes an idea that sounded brilliant needs a little more work.

But that's half the fun!

I'll be sharing recipes, preserving adventures, helpful kitchen tips, and plenty of lessons learned along the way.

A Little Dirt Never Hurt

My garden is another big part of SavageElf Creations.

From fragrant herbs and homegrown vegetables to fruit trees and whatever surprise decides to sprout, there's always something growing around here.

I love finding ways to bring those garden harvests into my kitchen and creations.

And of course, there's the backyard chicken crew, who are always happy to supervise, especially if they think snacks might be involved.

Handmade With Heart

Outside the kitchen and garden, you'll find me working with clay, designing jewelry, exploring new crafts, and occasionally collecting supplies for projects I haven't even dreamed up yet.

There's something special about creating something with your own hands.

Every handmade piece has a little story, and I believe the process of making it is just as interesting as the finished product.

Kitchen Trash or Kitchen Gold?

One of the things I'm most excited to share is a series I'm calling Kitchen Trash or Kitchen Gold?

It's all about taking a second look at things we normally throw away.

Fruit scraps, vegetable trimmings, leftover ingredients — you'd be surprised how much potential is hiding in what we call waste.

Some ideas are practical, some are creative, and a few might leave us wondering why we ever thought they'd work in the first place!

But we'll learn together.

Come Along for the Adventure!

My hope for The SavageElf Journal is simple.

I want this to be a place to share ideas, inspire a little creativity, pass along useful knowledge, and maybe make you laugh every now and then.

You don't need a perfect kitchen, an enormous garden, or fancy equipment to make something wonderful.

Sometimes all you need is a little curiosity and the willingness to try.

So pull up a chair, pour yourself something good, and stay awhile.

There's always something growing, simmering, or being created around here.

Welcome to SavageElf Creations. I'm happy you're here!
